The Ministry of Happier™

    Architecting Leaders thru' HappierMusic™

A practical experience in self-awareness, team harmony, and what it means to lead well.

This is not a typical workshop. It is a 90-minute structured experience that uses the science of music to help emerging leaders discover:

    • — how they think
    • — how they connect, and
    • — how they can show up more fully for the people around them.

    Who We Are

    The Ministry of Happier™

The Ministry of Happier™ is a wellbeing and human performance practice founded by Frven Lim — an award-winning architect, certified coach, and corporate facilitator with over 25 years of experience working with professionals in Singapore, the UK, and across Asia.

Our work sits at the intersection of neuroscience, personality insight, and practical human experience. We help organisations invest in their people in ways that are tangible, evidence-informed, and genuinely felt — not just ticked off a training calendar.

Our clients include global engineering firms, financial institutions, healthcare groups, universities, and government bodies. What they share in common is a belief that the wellbeing of their people is directly connected to the quality of their work and the longevity of their leadership.

    The Framework

What do we mean by Happier?

Happiness in a professional context is not about being cheerful all the time. It is about operating from a place of clarity, energy, and meaning. Progress and journey, not destination.

    Happiness =
    E + G + M

    Engagement

Being present, curious, and genuinely invested in what you are doing and who you are doing it with.

    Growth

A sense of forward movement — in skills, in perspective, in the capacity to handle more without burning out.

    Meaning

Knowing that what you do matters — to the organisation, to the people you serve, and to yourself.

When people in leadership roles experience Engagement, Growth, and Meaning — they perform better, stay longer, and carry others with them. This is the foundation of sustainable succession.

    The Vehicle

    Why music?

Because it bypasses the guard. In a room full of engineers and leaders, a lecture about vulnerability rarely lands. A ukulele changes that.

    Brain science benefits

    Brain Science

Learning an instrument activates neuroplasticity — the brain's ability to form new patterns. It is a tangible proof that growth is possible at any age or stage.

    Teamwork and camaraderie

    Shared Vulnerability

Everyone starts as a beginner. That shared experience levels hierarchies, creates trust, and opens the psychological safety that is essential for teams navigating change.

    Stress management

    Emotional Regulation

Music directly affects cortisol levels and mood. Participants leave feeling noticeably lighter — and that shift carries into how they work together afterwards.

"We use music not because it is fun — though it is — but because it is one of the most effective ways to shift how people feel about themselves and each other."

    — Frven Lim, Founder, The Ministry of Happier™

    For the Leaders Being Prepared

What this delivers for a leadership cohort

When a group of future leaders goes through this experience together, something shifts that no training module can replicate.

    Deeper self-awareness

Leaders who understand their own personality patterns — what drives them, what stresses them, how they make decisions under pressure — are more effective and more trustworthy. This programme starts that process.

    Genuine team cohesion

Not the kind that comes from a ropes course. The kind that comes from being in a room together, struggling and succeeding at something new, and recognising each other differently because of it.

    A growth mindset — demonstrated

Playing a musical instrument in 90 minutes, with no prior experience, is proof that the brain can learn. That is a powerful message for any leader preparing to take on more.

    Emotional intelligence in action

The session is designed to surface moments of encouragement, patience, and collective achievement. These are the habits of leadership that matter most when the stakes are higher.

    A shared memory

Teams that have been through an experience together — especially one this unexpected — carry that into their work. It becomes a reference point for how they collaborate.

    The Personality Layer

    Introducing the Enneagram

Woven into the experience is an introduction to the Enneagram — a practical personality insight framework used by organisations and coaches worldwide to help people understand:

    How they think

What motivates them at the core, and what unconscious patterns drive their decisions.

    How they lead

Their natural leadership style — including its strengths and its blind spots under pressure.

    How they relate

How they give and receive feedback, respond to conflict, and build trust with others.

This transforms the 90-minute session from a team activity into a moment of genuine self-discovery — one that participants can continue to build on long after the workshop ends.
