Your guide to getting started.
For the quietly curious
Always Wanted to Learn an Instrument? What's Stopping You?
Never started
The time never seemed right.
Tried but stopped
A few tutorials, a couple of chords, then quiet.
Don't think I'm musical
Years of telling yourself the story.
Perhaps you've always wanted to learn an instrument but never found the time.
Perhaps you've watched a few YouTube tutorials, tried a couple of chords, then quietly given up.
Or perhaps you've spent years telling yourself, "I'm just not musical."
Here's something worth considering.
You don't need musical talent to get started. You need a simple starting point, someone to guide you and a little encouragement to keep going.
That's exactly why I created Learn Ukulele in 3 Sessions.
No exams. No pressure to perform. No experience required.
Just a small group of people giving themselves permission to learn something new.
An honest answer
Why Not Just Learn from YouTube?
You absolutely can. There are brilliant free ukulele tutorials online.
But watching someone play is not quite the same as learning to play yourself.
Sometimes the hardest part isn't finding the information. It's getting started, knowing what to practise, overcoming frustration and keeping going.
That's where our three-week experience makes a difference.
A date in your diary
Three live sessions give you a reason to show up and make time for yourself.
Real guidance from a real person
Ask questions, receive encouragement and get help when something doesn't quite work.
You're not learning alone
Join fellow beginners who are discovering the same things, making the same mistakes and celebrating the same little victories.
A clear finish line
In three weeks, work towards playing along with familiar songs and recognising how far you've come.

Session 3. Week 3: Look What I Can Do!
Bring your new skills together, play along with familiar songs and celebrate your progress with your fellow beginners.
Songs you already know and love

Meet your guide
Hi, I'm Frven.
I'm Frven Lim, founder of The Ministry of Happier.
My work is about helping people rediscover the importance of being human, not simply being busy.
One of the ways I do this is through music.
I've brought people together through ukulele workshops, team-building sessions and musical activities, helping complete beginners discover that making music can be far more accessible than they imagined.
I believe learning an instrument isn't just about getting the notes right.
It's about trying something new, allowing yourself to make mistakes, sharing the experience with others and discovering that you can do more than you thought.
I'd love to help you start your ukulele journey.
